Africa Honey Consortium (AHC) is an apex umbrella body of Honey Value Chain actors in Africa comprising of Private Sector, Academia, Research, and Government body agencies, NON-governmental organizations, Associations, Co-operatives, Community and Welfare based groups partnering with development partners in the value chain.
The organization’s headquarter is in Nairobi, with liaison representatives from Southern Africa, Central, West Africa, and Eastern Africa.
The broad aim is to develop an African network that promotes and establishes a robust Honey Value Chain in Africa by bringing together Honey value chain stakeholders on the continent for managing improved honey food safety systems and quality. Provides linkages along the sector value chain, national, regional, and global markets by enhancing traceability through electronic systems in stages of production, processing, and distribution and focusing on opportunities for value addition.
