Meeting with Baringo County Governor H.E Hon. Stanley Kiptis

Meeting with Baringo County (Kenya) Governor H.E Hon. Stanley Kiptis, to discuss the development of the honey value chain and empowerment of beekeepers in Baringo county.

The discussion was on promotion of community groups to focus devotion on effects (both negative and positive) of climate change (environmental aspect), commercialisation, cultural and capacity building (Knowledge exchange) towards self-development of ethnics’ communities in Baringo. This is due to the fact that Governments, businesses, scientists, and civil society groups must work together to enable the many thousands of pastoralists, to practice beekeepingl more sustainably through effective markets, more collaborative research, and committed knowledge sharing.

A broad-based, centric-approach, knowledge-centered approach to beekeeping development is needed.
